Meeting Location: Capital Crescent Trail Head
3500 Water St NW, Washington, DC
8:30am – Registration

Our end of the season DMV Ride features a beginners ride to Bethesda, along with a challenge ride through DC, Maryland, and Virginia! We will all meet in Georgetown at the base of the Capital Crescent Trail, where the beginner group will ride the trail to downtown Bethesda and back. Challenge riders will cross over the bridge and catch the Mt. Vernon Trail through Alexandria and across the Woodrow Wilson Bridge to the National Harbor in Maryland.
Here are the details for each ride:
Beginners Ride – Meet at the trail entrance on Water Street for an out-and-back ride on the Capital Crescent Trail, with a stop in downtown Bethesda. You MUST wear a helmet to participate. Bring water and snacks, and dress for the weather. This is a NO DROP ride – no one will be left behind. All levels are welcome.
Challenge Ride – Meet at the trail entrance on Water Street. The route is approximately 26 miles round trip from Georgetown to the National Harbor and back. The ride may take approximately 2.5 hours with 1-2 stops on paved trails. You should be able to keep an average pace of at least 12 mph. This is a no drop ride. Limited ride support. Some inclines, no steep hills. Bring a spare inner tube that fits your wheels, a helmet, water, snacks, and dress for the weather.
Check-in at 8:30am. Please be ready to roll, hydrated, tires pumped, helmets on, and wheels down at 9:00am. See you then!
